While with the nation’s largest electronics retailer, Lisa led the process of cultural due diligence, culture planning and integration for the company’s first acquisition. She used her methods and best practices on subsequent acquisitions - resulting in higher ROI on each purchase. Lisa also led the global OD function for a billion dollar specialty chemical company with operations in 43 countries. She also developed and influenced the change strategy for the largest process and technology transformation project to date and crafted an approach to build change capability within the 100 billion dollar organization.
She has worked as a consultant to numerous Fortune 500 companies and has held positions with Best Buy Co., Inc., Northwest Airlines, Target Corporation and H.B. Fuller. She is an adjunct faculty member for Pepperdine University and Augsburg College where she has taught Organization Development in the MBA program.
Lisa is a founding partner of ROI Consulting and Implementation, an international organization development and management consulting firm. After extensive work with leaders across the globe, ROI identified a need to create a separate area of practice focused on preparing global leaders to lead in a challenging world, and the Center for Transformational Leadership was created.

H. Terry Smith has been in his clients’ shoes. In his more than 35 years of business experience, Terry has had responsibility for operations, sales, inventory and customer service. As a general manager, he led a staff of more than 100 employees and managed multi-million dollar budgets. He understands the pressure to increase profits and improve efficiency.

He has used that experience to help others succeed … internally, as the Director of Change Management for Best Buy, a 50+ billion dollar company with the distinction of being one of the world’s largest electronics retailers.
Part of the ground-breaking Change Implementation Team (CIT) chronicled in the best-selling book Big Change at Best Buy, Terry led the group with responsibility for all CITs nationally. With the added responsibility for the OD department, he led efforts to streamline operations, improve processes, build effective teams and provide executive coaching.
Terry has facilitated cross-functional teams to achieve significant business results. He was an integral part of the acquisition integration team for Best Buy’s first acquisition. Terry established change management functions in the newly acquired business, improving business results dramatically in the first few months.
Bringing his systemic thinking into play, Terry makes connections between business results, the customer environment and the employee experience. He redesigned the retail training efforts of a Fortune 100 company to align training, bring an application-based focus and create follow-up processes for supervisors.
Sought after as a speaker, he has presented at international conferences and actively shares his knowledge with his clients and through his affiliation with the international OD Network and OD Institute and the Association of Change Management Professionals.

Having worked in both high tech as well as various manufacturing organizations, Deb has experience as an external consultant and as an internal manager. She has managed production, quality, training and organization development departments. Through this path, Deb discovered a passion and innate ability to understand and manage human dynamics while driving business results.

MIKE LESEWSKI

Mike Lesewski has worked for both ROI Consulting & Implementation as well as the Implementation Institute since graduating from the University of Minnesota in 2009. Mike began his work as an intern before being promoted to Director of Curriculum Development. Mike works with the Implementation Institute to support clients by developing and customizing change management tools as well as consulting. Additionally, Mike works with ROI Consulting & Implementation to develop customized content delivered virtually and in workshops as well as maintaining client workplans for specific initiatives and projects.

Mike has had the opportunity to work with clients in a number of industries including health-care, utilities, food, aerospace and manufacturing. Additionally, Mike has worked on-site with global clients in France, China and Australia.
For use as part of the Implementation Effectiveness Methodology, Mike has worked to design, develop and test several change management tools used within a number of client organizations. He has also created and maintained a number of change work plans as well as drafted and maintained a number of other client specific change deliverables such as sponsor plans, communication plans and stakeholder analyses. Additionally, Mike understands the significance of generating leadership commitment for each change initiative to maximize the effectiveness of the change and to garner engagement for the initiative.
Working with a global manufacturing organization, Mike designed and developed content for a global leadership program attended by high-potential leaders. As a result, participants developed their leadership capability and business acumen while being provided with strategies for how to build trust and work in a high performing team.
